Our Services, Explained – Which Do You Need Most?

Royal Heating & Air has so many services to offer! As the best heating and cooling company at the Lake of the Ozarks, we strive to offer the best services to keep your home comfortable and safe year-round. Keep reading to learn all about what we offer and figure out which service your home needs most!

Maintenance on All HVAC Systems

Regular preventative maintenance can not only increase efficiency and lifespan, it also helps you discover and repair things before they lead to bigger problems, more expensive repairs, and potential outages. If you have not had your furnace serviced yet this year, we have HVAC technicians at the Lake of the Ozarks ready to help!

Install New Bryant Systems

While we perform maintenance checks on all types of units at the Lake of the Ozarks, we recommend and install new Bryant Heating & Cooling Systems. In our opinion, they're the best!

From furnaces and air conditioners to multiple kinds of products in between, Bryant is incomparable when it comes to their superior units. Their quality, durability, and reliability consistently exceed market expectations. Bryant works hard to continuously innovate and create solutions with energy-saving technology.

Whole-Home Humidifiers

Fall and winter tend to be the driest seasons of the year. The air in your home feels dry, not because of the cold itself, but because air loses moisture as it's heated by your furnace. If the air is too dry, it can be bad for your health, air quality, and wooden items in your home.

When your eyes, nose, and throat are dry for a long amount of time, your sinuses can get dehydrated and sore. The lack of mucus also makes you more prone to getting sick. If the air in your house is too dry, the wooden floors, furniture, and even your musical instruments can dry out and become brittle. Cracks can even start to appear, damaging them. Moisturized air also feels warmer than dry air, so you may not feel the need to turn up the heat as high and can save money in the long run!

HVAC Ultraviolet Lights

The fall and winter seasons can come with more bacteria, colds, and other illnesses. To help prevent additional bacteria and viruses from spreading around the house through the air ducts, try using a UV light system in your HVAC system. Ultra Violet light prevents bacteria from replicating, ridding your home of pesky pathogens that could cause your family to feel "under the weather", or even catch serious illnesses. Royal Heating & Air can install a UV light system directly in your HVAC ductwork!

Custom Sheet Metal Fabrication

The ductwork for your HVAC system is what carries the heating and cooling throughout your home. It is made from sheet metal and the goal is for it to be as efficient as possible in order to keep your home the right temperature for the least amount of energy and cost. Ductwork is commonly made with standard-sized pieces that may or may not fit the best. There could be several areas in your system that are inefficient, improperly shaped, and leaky because it's not designed for your specific layout. That's where we come in! At Royal Heating & Air, we can custom fabricate the sheet metal to fit your home's specifications. That means no wasted space, more direct lines to your vents, and a more efficient and comfortable home.

Family Friendly Attractions at the Lake (part 2)

This week, Royal Heating and Air, will continue sharing with you some of the fun things to do with your family here at the Lake of the Ozarks.  We will talk about things to see and learn in the area (for those inquisitive kids).  We will discuss low cost or free activities, so you don’t have to worry about the budget.  We will also talk about some of the more random or miscellaneous things that you might not even think to look for.

Things to See or Learn.

If your kids love seeing and learning new things, there are lots of options at Lake of the Ozarks.  We are fortunate to have several commercial caves including Bridal Cave in Camdenton, Stark Caverns in Eldon, and Jacob’s Cave in Versailles, each with their own unique features. There are also caves in the area State Parks. In addition, we have the Camden County Historical Museum, the Morgan County Historical Society and Museum, the Miller County Museum, and Wilmore Lodge and the Bagnell Dam Historical Museum located near the dam.  If you want to show your kids exactly how the dam was built, that is the place to go.  Also, if you have a budding artist in your family, you could even take art classes at Lake Fine Art Academy and Galleria.

Low or No Cost.

The State Parks at the Lake of the Ozarks are extensive and so beautiful with breathtaking natural beauty.  Whether you are looking for a public beach to swim, or hiking trails, fishing spots, caves, springs, castle ruins and Ozark bluffs, the local State Parks have it all and more.  Check out Ha Ha Tonka in Camdenton, the State Park down Hwy 42, and the State Park Marina in Osage Beach.

More.

Of course, most kids love a good pirate adventure and at the Lake of the Ozarks you have options.  You will love Jolly Roger’s pirate themed restaurant in Rocky Mount where you can even book a cruise on the Pirate Ship Calypso!  Or you can check out famous Captain Ron’s, (home of the Shootout) and enjoy the beach and sand volleyball areas all day long.  If you are in town around the Shootout, you most definitely do not want to miss the kids’ treasure hunt on the beach.

If you would like to enjoy some mini golf with the family, you may choose from Pirate’s Cove Mini Golf, Putt ‘N’ Stuff, and Sugar Creek Miniature Golf.  Or how about some bowling fun at Eldon Lanes or at the Westside Lanes in Gravois Mills.  Maybe you want to just relax and see a movie … there is Lake West Cinema 5 down O Road in the Laurie/Gravois Mills area, and Marcus Eagles Landing Cinema in Osage Beach.

For a tasty treat, enjoy a lake favorite with frozen custard at Andy’s, and Randy’s, both in Osage Beach.  Then for a close up look at some of the fastest power boats in the nation, you can venture out to Performance Boat Center’s showroom with an upper viewing balcony so you can even see inside the boats.

We are so proud to live at the Lake of the Ozarks.  We are happy to raise our family here and committed to providing the best HVAC service and maintenance to all our customers, because as a family-owned business, it matters to us.  We just wanted to share these ideas with you because we think there is something for everyone in the family here at Lake of the Ozarks. We hope you enjoy living here just as much as we do. With so much to choose from … memories are waiting to be made!

The Importance of Good Ventilation in Your Home

Most Americans spend about 90% of their time indoors. Therefore, it's important that the atmosphere inside your home promotes good health and safety. Good ventilation is a crucial part of being comfortable in your own home as well. It prevents air pollutants from affecting your health, reduces unwanted smells and more. Keep reading to learn more about the importance of good home ventilation from your premier HVAC company at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Ventilation Controls Moisture

One of the main reasons that ventilation is so important is because it controls the moisture levels in your home. Good ventilation will remove/prevent condensation from areas of your home. Excess moisture in your home can cause all sorts of issues, like mold, wood rot and drywall damage. This can eventually lead to compromising the structural integrity of your home, and mold can cause health problems for you and your family.

Ventilation Filters Out Allergens

Without good ventilation in your home, pollutants and allergens can take over. This can cause sickness among your family, especially those members with bad allergies. Proper ventilation will help remove large particles, such as pollen, dust or other irritants, from the air. This can effectively reduce allergy symptoms and create a comfortable environment for your family to live in. Most notably when it comes to health, good ventilation will protect respiratory health and help prevent asthma. It can also prevent rashes and other skin irritation that results from pollutants or impurities in the air.

Ventilation Prevents Backdrafting

Another common issue with poor ventilation is that it can cause backdrafts in your home. This is when outdoor air is pulled inside due to the pressure inside your home being less than that outside. This backdrafting can actually become dangerous if that air is coming from a chimney or other areas of the home  with an opening. Proper ventilation can help to control the pressure within your home.

Good ventilation supplies fresh air to your home - and there's no denying that fresh air is critical to making your home comfortable. Make sure you have exhaust fans located throughout your home, especially in the kitchen and bathrooms. You should also have air ducts installed around your home; some older homes don't have them. In addition, they need to stay clean.

Royal Heating and Air is here to help with your ventilation issues! We do custom duct work, and we can also keep them clean by installing UV lights. Your AC system also plays a role in airflow and ventilation. We can help you keep it maintained. Call 573-480-4313 for all your Lake of the Ozark HVAC needs!
