⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My experience with Royal Heating and Air was so excellent. My AC went out (we knew it was coming along with the furnace). These guys were out the same day to diagnose the issues and had the entire job completed the next day. They were so nice to my kids, which is a big plus as a mom of 4. Not to mention how amazing my furnace system looked when they were finished.

Perparing Your HVAC System For The COLD!

Fall is here at the Lake of the Ozarks, and that means it's time to start preparing your HVAC system for colder weather. Royal Heating & Air is the best HVAC Company at the Lake of the Ozarks, and we are ready to help you prepare for the season and avoid the common hazards that can come with fall weather around your home. Keep reading to learn more and give us a call to schedule your maintenance check!

Carbon Monoxide

Soon the temperatures will cool off and you'll turn on your heater to keep the house warm and toasty. The number one danger of a failing heating system is a carbon monoxide (or CO) leak. This is one of the important reasons why you should schedule heating maintenance early and install carbon monoxide detectors in your home. CO detectors should be installed just like smoke detectors; this means they should be installed in all of the major areas in your home... Preferably on every level of the house and outside of each bedroom. It’s also a good idea to test all of your CO and smoke detectors once a month.

Fire Hazards

Any time you're dealing with a heat source, there is a potential for fire. That is why it's incredibly important to keep your furnace and pipes clear from anything that might catch fire. Make sure there is nothing combustible within 6 inches of your ventilation pipe. Periodically inspect your vent pipes to make sure there is nothing obstructing them, such as leaves, snow, or even bird nests. All fuel-burning systems need ventilation for proper safety. Also maintain a minimum 3-foot clearance around your furnace, fireplace, and other heat sources. Keep the area around heaters unobstructed and free from any flammable items. You should also never store any paint, chemicals, gasoline or any other combustible material anywhere near your furnace.

Frozen Lines

Any lines outside of the house that carry water or condensation need to be drained and protected to prevent freezing and cracking. To prevent your irrigation lines from getting damaged this winter, call your landscaping company before the ground freezes to drain the water. Any residual water left in your irrigation system over the winter season will freeze, expand, and likely cause serious damage to the entire system. It is also a good idea to disconnect and drain the hoses around your house. Also, if you have a high-efficiency furnace, there is likely a condensation line to keep the moisture from puddling around your furnace. If the temperature drops to very cold levels, then this line could freeze all the way back to the furnace and cause it to not be able to kick on. Keep this line insulated away from the cold weather in the fall and winter months.

Get a Fall Maintenance Check

There are a lot of things to consider when getting your home and HVAC system ready for the cold season. If you want to make sure your home is going to be comfortable and safe all season long, give Royal Heating & Air a call! We'll come out and do a maintenance check on your HVAC system to make sure everything is in working order. We can also schedule a Whole Home Comfort Check, install a Programmable Thermostat, and more! Call today to work with the best heating and cooling company at the Lake of the Ozarks. We are here for you!

Family Friendly Attractions at the Lake (part 2)

This week, Royal Heating and Air, will continue sharing with you some of the fun things to do with your family here at the Lake of the Ozarks.  We will talk about things to see and learn in the area (for those inquisitive kids).  We will discuss low cost or free activities, so you don’t have to worry about the budget.  We will also talk about some of the more random or miscellaneous things that you might not even think to look for.

Things to See or Learn.

If your kids love seeing and learning new things, there are lots of options at Lake of the Ozarks.  We are fortunate to have several commercial caves including Bridal Cave in Camdenton, Stark Caverns in Eldon, and Jacob’s Cave in Versailles, each with their own unique features. There are also caves in the area State Parks. In addition, we have the Camden County Historical Museum, the Morgan County Historical Society and Museum, the Miller County Museum, and Wilmore Lodge and the Bagnell Dam Historical Museum located near the dam.  If you want to show your kids exactly how the dam was built, that is the place to go.  Also, if you have a budding artist in your family, you could even take art classes at Lake Fine Art Academy and Galleria.

Low or No Cost.

The State Parks at the Lake of the Ozarks are extensive and so beautiful with breathtaking natural beauty.  Whether you are looking for a public beach to swim, or hiking trails, fishing spots, caves, springs, castle ruins and Ozark bluffs, the local State Parks have it all and more.  Check out Ha Ha Tonka in Camdenton, the State Park down Hwy 42, and the State Park Marina in Osage Beach.

More.

Of course, most kids love a good pirate adventure and at the Lake of the Ozarks you have options.  You will love Jolly Roger’s pirate themed restaurant in Rocky Mount where you can even book a cruise on the Pirate Ship Calypso!  Or you can check out famous Captain Ron’s, (home of the Shootout) and enjoy the beach and sand volleyball areas all day long.  If you are in town around the Shootout, you most definitely do not want to miss the kids’ treasure hunt on the beach.

If you would like to enjoy some mini golf with the family, you may choose from Pirate’s Cove Mini Golf, Putt ‘N’ Stuff, and Sugar Creek Miniature Golf.  Or how about some bowling fun at Eldon Lanes or at the Westside Lanes in Gravois Mills.  Maybe you want to just relax and see a movie … there is Lake West Cinema 5 down O Road in the Laurie/Gravois Mills area, and Marcus Eagles Landing Cinema in Osage Beach.

For a tasty treat, enjoy a lake favorite with frozen custard at Andy’s, and Randy’s, both in Osage Beach.  Then for a close up look at some of the fastest power boats in the nation, you can venture out to Performance Boat Center’s showroom with an upper viewing balcony so you can even see inside the boats.

We are so proud to live at the Lake of the Ozarks.  We are happy to raise our family here and committed to providing the best HVAC service and maintenance to all our customers, because as a family-owned business, it matters to us.  We just wanted to share these ideas with you because we think there is something for everyone in the family here at Lake of the Ozarks. We hope you enjoy living here just as much as we do. With so much to choose from … memories are waiting to be made!

Royal Heating and Air - A Family Owned Business

Royal Heating and Air was started by Tommy and Katie Royal in 2011 as a modest company based in their garage with no other employees and one service van.  Tommy had his first job in HVAC right out of high school, and then went to school to master the trade.  Katie was still in college when they started Royal Heating and Air.  She took care of the books and business startup/organization from her college apartment, while Tommy took care of running the business at home.  It was their goal from the very beginning to bring truthful, trustworthy service to the lake area, and to be a company that truly cared about their customers.

With that mindset, the company started to grow rapidly and never stopped.  Today, Royal Heating and Air has 5 vans, 5 crew members plus Katie, and a commercial location in Camdenton.  Tommy and Katie also started a family and welcomed 2 beautiful children into world during that time.  Katie has been and continues to be very involved in the community as a member of Young Professionals at the Lake, and Kiwanis.  As a member of Kiwanis, Katie has volunteered countless hours to important local events including the Duck Drop and Christmas for Kids.  Royal Heating and Air has also been a faithful member of a local chapter of Business Networking International which works to promote and generate referrals for other lake area businesses.

When you meet Tommy and Katie and the crew, you can instantly feel that they are a close knit and friendly bunch.  It is noticeable that Tommy and Katie care about their employees and treat them more like family.  The crew seems to pay that forward in the way they conduct themselves and treat their clients.  They really stand out in how professional, personable, respectful, and helpful they are with everyone they deal with.  Katie is quite confident that her guys are the best crew at the lake!

Royal Heating and Air is also outstanding in the way they are so straightforward with their clients. They have no interest in trying to sell you something you don’t need or mislead you into thinking you have to have a whole new system.  Tommy and the crew work hard to find a way to repair rather than replace.  Only when your system gets to the age or point that it becomes unreliable, do they recommend a change out.  When that time comes, they can not only take care of the change out to a new HVAC system, they can even give you information on how to finance your new HVAC system as well. Royal Heating and Air also manufacture their own custom ductwork.  That means they can connect your old system to your new system with a perfect fit and no air leaks, for peak efficiency and less noise from air flow.

No matter what your HVAC needs may be, Royal Heating and Air is in your corner.  Whether you are in need of HVAC maintenance or repair, or need a completely new HVAC system, Royal Heating and Air makes it a personal goal to bring you the highest level of professionalism along with warm and friendly customer service.  They also believe in giving back to the community as a way of life, and taking care of their employees as a matter of principle.  You can feel assured that Tommy and the crew will shoot you straight on any of your HVAC questions, and you can feel great about working with such a wonderful, family owned small business.  For all your HVAC needs, give Royal Heating and Air a call at (573) 480-4313.  We are happy to help!
