As a family-owned HVAC business at the Lake of the Ozarks, we know how great this area is for family fun and adventures. There is so much to do and so many lifelong memories waiting to be made. Whatever kinds of activities your family enjoys together, there is something at the Lake that is a perfect fit for you. So, at Royal Heating and Air, we put together a list of family fun activities at the Lake of the Ozarks to get you started, including indoor and outdoor options (in case you experience a rainy day at the Lake). This week we are going to talk about the many fun water-based activities you can choose from. We will also talk about places to go for a little more adventure.
Water Fun.
If your kids are water lovers, the lake will not disappoint
them. Bear Bottom Waterslide in Sunrise Beach
is a favorite at over 700 feet long! (Your
child must be 36 inches or taller to ride.)
The Aquatic Centers in Camdenton, and in Eldon are a hit all summer
long. If your kids like being in the lake,
you can find Super Dave’s Paddle Craft Adventures located at Franky and Louie’s
in Sunrise Beach. There you can rent
kayaks, canoes, kiddie kayaks, pedal boats, and paddle boards … all in a large
no wake cove for your kid’s safety. The
lake also has water parks for your family to enjoy including Jolly Mon at
Margaritaville (which is indoors and open year-round), as well as the awesome
Big Surf Water Park in Linn Creek.
Adventure.
If your family is all about adventure, you are in for a
treat! Make the memory of a lifetime by
riding with Lake Ozark Helicopters.
Their tours start as low as $29 per person and they are worth every penny. Malted Monkey is a new ropes adventure course
located on Bagnell Dam Strip that is 60 feet high, with 3 levels and 45
different obstacles (and a restaurant as well). Fort 54 Paintball is located on Hwy 42 in
Osage Beach and they offer paintball adventures designed for kids that are safe,
fun, and great for building confidence.
Miner Mike’s is another indoor option including a Family Fun Center and Buster’s Garage. With over a million dollars-worth of the latest high-tech games as well as bumper cars and an amazing multi-level indoor go cart track with the most state of the art go carts you have ever seen (full sized to accommodate adults as quite comfortably).
If you are interested in horseback riding,
there is the Old Family Farm Trail Rides in Mack’s Creek, as well as the stables
at Margaritaville. Depending on the time
of year, you can enjoy ice skating or sand volleyball at Old Kinderhook near
Camdenton. Or take it up a notch with
Paradise Parasailing at Bagnell Dam, or wakeboard lessons at Kirby’s School of
Wake in Osage Beach. Last, but not
least, don’t forget Jetz Trampoline Park for all day indoor fun for kids of all
ages!
